College of the Redwoods turned in a disappointing performance on the volleyball court Thursday evening, losing in three sets at Siskiyous.
The home team secured the conference sweep over the Corsairs, winning 25-13-25-12, 25-13.
“We just struggled,” CR head coach Petra Lorenzi said. “We were home for a week, and I think they got comfortable being at home and playing in front of a home crowd.”
Alondra Ledezma led the Corsairs with seven kills, while Mikenzie Palotas and Olivia Wilma each had four kills.
“Siskiyous were just more disciplined,” Lorenzi said. “They looked like they were a little more fired up.”
Jessica Simon had 13 digs in the loss, while teammate Elise Wilson had 12.
With the loss, the Corsairs dropped to 4-12 on the season and 1-4 in the Golden Valley Conference.
Siskiyous improved to 7-10 and 3-2.
The Corsairs will try to rebound at Shasta (6-22 and 0-6) on Thursday.
