By Ray Hamill — Tag Wotherspoon and Matt Tomlin will call the action from the big all-local North Coast Section basketball showdown between St. Bernard’s and Ferndale on Wednesday night, with the game being broadcast live on MIX 95.1 FM.

The Crusaders are seeded No. I in the Division-VI boys bracket and will host Little 4 rivals and No. 4 seed Ferndale at St. Bernard’s, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.

The pre-game show will start at 6:45 p.m.

Regardless of the result, both teams will advance to next week’s NorCal tournament.

The Little 4 has dominated the Division-VI bracket this season, with three of the top-four seeds from the conference.

No. 3 seed South Fork will also be in action on Wednesday, traveling to play at No. 2 California School for the Deaf.

At least one of the three Little 4 teams still playing is guaranteed to play in Saturday’s section championship game, with the potential of an all-local decider.
