Women’s soccer team hosts free clinic

The Humboldt State women’s soccer team hosted a free clinic for Crescent City youth soccer players on Saturday.

“This is a special event every year that started with a conversation on an airplane nearly five years ago,” said HSU head coach Paul Karver. “Our kids look forward to our trip to Crescent City each year to spend time with the youth in their amazing community.”

The Green and Gold traveled north on Highway 101 for their annual camp which drew a strong turnout from the area’s soccer community.

”The Crescent City camp is everyone’s favorite part of the year,” said senior Jacquelyn Dompier. “We love all the camps, but doing this one is one of the most rewarding. The whole community is incredible. The kids are hilarious, goofy, and so grateful for a chance to spend the day with us.”
